Davis-Doodle

Friday night Tara and i decided to get together for a little cake decorating! As i stated in an earlier post i was not able to finish my Wilton Course 2 classes because of being sick so i asked Tara to teach me what i missed! We had so much fun but boy did i miss a lot! We were up til almost midnight basket weaving and making flowers! Thank you so much Tara for all you help! You were the best teacher ever! Here's the finished project!

Last month Tara and I took a gum paste flower class. I think we both decided that gum paste flowers may not be fore us but it was a lot of fun! The flowers just take a lot of time and money to make, so if u want one of theses from us you better be willing to pay!!! haha

After being sick for a few weeks and even making two trips to the hospital with a short stay i had gotten out of cake decorating. Tara had been doing so well and i have to admit i was a little jealous about how good her cakes were looking! They were SO good and i wanted back in it! I decided to sign up for the next class with Tara which started two weeks ago! we are having a blast as always!

I was given the chance to make Morgans Smiths 21st birthday cake and i was so excited! That is until she told me she wanted black and hot pink! Black really? Black is really hard to make so i just decided to cheat and buy black fondant from the store! The cake turned out so cute and everyone loved it! One girl even asked me for my card! I don't think I'm quite ready to give out my card but hopefully soon! If anyone is interested let me know!! here's the cake,..

So I'm not sure how long its been since my last post but i know it has been forever!!!! I have many many many post to backtrack with but those will come on another day,..(i hope) I decided to copy a few people and do a New Years post for my fist one back.

I have always enjoyed making New Years resolutions but have also enjoyed not keeping many of them (losing weight). Scott and I decided this year we were gonna make lots of them that way at least one or two could be kept! so here is a list of mine and maybe ill include a few he came up with also!

-lose weight really I'm gonna do it this year (we are going on a cruise,..i refuse to be the "heavy girl") Scott was at the opposite side here,..he wants to gain 50 lbs! (ughh if only we all had this problem!!)

- Love my husband more and learn to be nicer and a more understanding wife!

-Build a stronger relationship with our Lord

-Find my husband a job that quits laying him off (this one was agreed by both)

-make a trip to Atlanta to see Katelyn and Josh we miss them so much!

-keep my house clean at least one day a week!

and last but not least

-(this one will make my parents very happy) Get Prego! we would love to have a baby some time next year so this is the year to make that happen! so maybe this time next year i will be posting on how baby Davis is growing! (and just for the record Scott agrees with this also!)

These are the only ones i can think of right now but if i come up with more ill post them later!
